I Was Sick (2006-07-17)
Last week I was struck down with the nastiest case of stomach bugs/flu. I suffered from excruciating cramps, vomiting and mad dashes to the bathroom (umpteen times). I was doubling over in pain on the toilet seat hurling things out from both ends, simultaneously.
I was completely zapped out of my energy and could do nothing but
lay in bed. I didn't even have the strength to lift my arm or
turn in bed. Taking a shower and getting ready before I went to
the doctor's nearly killed me.
Thank goodness it's over now. Stomach bugs may not be a big
deal on the grand scale of human diseases and illnesses, but it's
enough to make me value the importance of good health.
