Cold Hatsuhashi (2007-09-28)
Following the "normal" Hatsuhashi, KL bought a box of Cold Hatsuhashi. With this type, you're supposed to chill it before you eat it, a habit KL does with any kind of Hatsuhashi anyway. He bought this box because he wanted to see if there's a difference in the texture of the mochi. Actually there is. The Cold Hatsuhashi is not as toothsome and chewy as the normal kind, although the filling of black sesame paste remains the same.
KL is a sucker for mochi, there's no stopping him from bringing home more Hatsuhashi, cold or hot.
