Hot Sauce (2008-01-09)
Every time KL goes to Kaldi, the store that sells imported food, he has an impulse to buy hot sauce! He'd go there after work to get coffee and he'd call me and ask me if I need more hot sauce... My answer is always no because I am 200% happy with the Sriracha at home and don't want to try others.
One weekend we went to Kaldi together and he was checking out their
hot sauces again. Since he was looking at them with such
intensity and longing, I urged him to just get one for Goshsake.
He picked a bottle with interesting African design which also calls
itself a
relish rather than a sauce.
We've been eating it with fried fish, sausages and hash potatoes. It is chunky, mild and garlicky, but not nearly as good as my Sriracha.
