Blackened Meat Seasonings (2008-08-06)

I've been using the seasonings A gave us to make blackened meat.  We like cajun cooking and blackened fish is a dish I would order in a restaurant.  Now that I can make it at home with such ease is simply wonderful.

Just sprinkle on meat or seafood and panfry or roast in the oven, it's that simple, but delicious.

P.S.  The roasted red bell pepper on the side is adapted from Jamie Oliver's recipe.  Fill half a bell pepper with diced tomato, chopped garlic, salt, pepper, basil, extra virgin olive oil and topped with bacon.  Bake at 190C for 30-40 minutes.
