Afternoon Tea Break At Olive House (2009-08-27)

Three o'clock in super crowded Shinjuku (kanji) on a public holiday.  Wanting to take a break from all the walking and shopping and the safest bet to get a table is in Olive House.  Not that the food is bad or anything, but it's more like a family restaurant and dating couples usually prefer the either higher-end or more intimate cafes.  We, the old geezers, on the other hand go to family restaurants for cakes and coffees!

KL ordered coffee and chocolate cake which he said tasted like brownie.  I got the "Summer Special" vanilla ice cream with fruits, mango sauce and red bean paste which was nothing to rave about.  But we didn't go there for its food, we just wanted a break for our tired old legs.
