Hee Kee, Dessert (2011-05-10)
Like Under Bridge Spicy Crab, Hee Kee cooks theirs the same way. With their restaurant right in iSquare, it's very close to our hotel and we made it our last dinner choice in Hong Kong. There was a promotion when we were there where they gave a free dish
with every crab ordered. We chose "Gao to" fish in salt and
pepper style for our freebie and it wasn't a gimmicky giveaway.
The dish was full size and WELL-COOKED. The high heat wok taste
in the non-greasy, slightly battered whole fish was delicious!
The fish head, body, tail, and soft bones were all edible. The
fish was so creamy and tender, it was just beautiful to eat.
The crab was also excellent. Seasoned just right with lots of
flavorful fried shallots and garlic which went well with the fish
congee we ordered.
The pigeon was also great: crispy skin and moist tender flesh.
After dinner, we walked to Prat Ave just around the corner of Hyatt
and tried the ultra popular new dessert place. The snowflake ice
was indeed very good but so huge! It could easily feed three
people as a post dinner dessert.
