Manor Restaurant (2012-03-17)
After a very satisfying and inexpensive clay pot rice lunch, we were ready to splurge on dinner.I was lured to Manor for their famous stirfried noodles with soy
sauce and Lai Man (some kind of fish) congee which were both a complete
failure! The congee was so fishy we couldn't finish it and the
noodles had no high heat wok-fry smoky taste which is a big no-no in
Cantonese stirfry dishes.
The 2-person set dinner (HK$608/US$76) looked alright at first, but
after the added congee, "complimentary" appetizer, tea charge, and
service charge, it came out to about US$100 for two.
But I must admit the rest of the dishes on the set was delicious and
superbly made, they were just not worth their price tag.
(The fried noodles was the reason I went to Manor but I forgot to take its picture!! >_<
