Thai Festival (2010-06-03)

Thai Festival is an event (I think it's held annually in May?) in Yoyogi Park to promote everything about Thailand, from food to their traditional dance.

The event was an epic fail for us!!  Reason?  Too small a venue for too large a crowd.  Yoyogi Park is huge by itself but only a section of it was used to host the many many food vendors, stalls and HORDE OF PEOPLE.  About 30000 people attended the festival over the weekend when KL and I were amongst the huge crowd.  There were incredibly long lines for food and no place to eat it of course.

After just two snacks, we gave up!  There was a very delicious-looking pad thai and roast chicken we really wanted to try, but seeing the lines, we simply had to leave the place.  There were of course food stalls with significantly shorter lines, but their food wasn't too appealing.

That day was also very hot with the sun beating on us.  Since we both dislike crowds, we decided to just ditch the event to look for lunch in nearby Shibuya (kanji).
