Unexpected Way To Taoyuan Airport (2017-02-03)
Dragging two full suitcases from our hotel to Taipei Station's East3 Exit isn't hard. There's a ramp, elevators and escalators the whole way except maybe three steps you actually have to take.
KL was minding the luggage while I went insde the station in search of KuoKuang ticket booth. Since the ticket windows are actually outside the station, I came back out empty-handed. By then he was already talking to a man asking if we wanted to share a ride with another couple in his cab to the airport.
KuoKuang bus to Taoyuan Airport is NTD125/perosn, that cab driver
was asking NTD200/person. That sounds like a reasonable deal to
us, so we took it.
Turns out the friendly and helpful driver does rent-a-cab services to every corner of Taiwan. We might use his service again in the future.
