Wind Chimes In Summer (2005-07-22)
This is another one of the Japanese way of thinking that is unfathomable to me: "wind chimes can cool one down". The soft tinkling sound from a wind chime is believed to make the air around you cool and comfortable! Thus wind chimes are popping up in stores everywhere in the summer and people are hanging them in their balconies to make them feel less hot.
We had two Japanese wind chimes in Sydney because I just like the
sound from them. As for cooling the air down with their tinkle,
that's just crap.
