Growing Bokchoy (2007-12-08)
The bokchoy seeds became this in just 5 days
After thinning out the weak ones
One and a half weeks old
Bokchoy's growing happily
The end of the stem starts to grow side roots
Two weeks old
Three weeks old
Getting big
Large leaves
Right before harvest
Cut six stalks for dinner
Bokchoy/tofu/clam soup, yum!
The small ones that got left behind grew well
Harvested bokchoy
Ended up in a big container
The bokchoy was made into a stirfry dish with chopped garlic, dried mushrooms, fresh lotus root and fried tofu seasoned with just salt and soy sauce
Ordered seeds from two different companies which arrived at the same day. Shipping is only 110Yen (about a buck) and 80Yen respectively
