The Cremation Of Daifoo (2009-07-13)
I held him in my arms from the morning till the funeral staff arrived past noon
Daifoo would go to the funeral home with flowers
The driver from the feneral home came to pick us up
Funeral home front
KL filling out the registration
The little cremation room above third floor
We said our farewell, gave him kisses and patted him for the final time in the cremation room
Cremation bed
Simple altar
The monk rolling it out for Daifoo
KL lit an incense
The monk placed Daifoo on it
and said a prayer
It's unbelievably difficult to see Daifoo being rolled away from me
He's gone forever
We waited on the third floor and spent some time checking out the interesting shrines
When we returned to the room, we picked a red case for the urn from five different colors
The urn is a simple ceramic pot
The label for the case is filled out
Daifoo's bones
Here the monk picked out the main ones to show us
I could see Daifoo's shadow on the skull
Tail bones and toes
We transferred the rest of the bones into the urn
All done
The tail bones had been neatly rearranged while we were picking up bones
