Samba Carnival In Asakusa (2004-09-01)
Taunting the male audience
Organizers covered the street with red plastic sheet for spectators. Very kind
People waited patiently for the parade to start despite of the light rain
This guy in front of me put on rain coat and pants when it began to drizzle
At 1pm, the sky looked like this and never lit up for the rest of the day
Fans and brochures given out before the parade
Boy scouts lead the parade with a banner that says "The 24th Asakusa Samba Carnival"
An actor and TV personality is among the first group in the parade, he's waving madly at the crowd which is just as happy to see him
Samba Carnival is all about women dressed like her
These men in the parade urge smokers not to toss cigarette butts on the streets, I hope people listen to them
The man in front of me is only interested in taking photos of half-naked women. This male performer must be a bore to him
Costumes with a kimono flair
Cameramen from various TV stations and newspaper take vidoe and pictures of the crowd
Representatives from Cuba
Dancers
A float from a big drug company
Smooth butts
She's over-dressed in the top
She wows the crowd
Shake those dangling bits on your bra top, baby!
Happy woman and men
Blow a kiss!
She needs a bigger cup size
A Fuji Television staff films its own crew

A few women watch the parade on roof top, two of them wear yukata
Drummers
The two elderly women in front of us clap and wave enthusiastically to every performer that dances past. They usually attract many of the bikini-wearing women to stop by to say thanks which in turn delights the men around the two women
