Don't Make These Steamed Charsui Buns (2008-01-18)

KL has a conference to go to in Las Vegas tomorrow.  Wish I could go with him, and of course that is impossible.  The entire gang in his group will be going; I wonder if any will be tempted to sneak out of the conference to go to the craps table?

There'll be all kinds of yummy food in Vegas, but I know KL will eventually miss my cooking and the homemade bread.  What he won't miss though, are these steamed roast pork buns (pictured).  The filling is 100% delicious (it's the same as that in the baked buns) but the bread is not too good.  It's soft only when it remains hot fresh out of the steamer.  Once cold, it hardens.  What's worse, it has a strange texture--a little powdery and sticky.

There's no reason for me to post the recipe I found on the web here.  No point of wasting your time.
