New Year Gifts (2008-01-29)
Cat-lover Y-san in the back apartment came over to bring us New Year gifts and a request.
The gifts were all well appreciated which included rice, super sweet
mandarins and a cat cookie cutter. There's also a small packet of
gold flakes for sprinkling over tea. She says drinking it will
bring us good luck...ooookaaay...
As much as I loved the gifts, I love her request even more.
She is going home for three days and asks me if I could look after her
cats. As the Chinese would say: I spit out the rice to say
yes! (meaning I stop everything I'm doing to say yes to the
request)
