Our Water Plant Flowered (2004-09-05)
I had no idea our water plants would ever flower. Knowing how much I love plants, imagine my delight when I went downstairs one morning and saw a trio of flowers in gorgeous lilac color with a tiny dollop of contrasting yellow in the center standing proudly in our water garden.
Unfortunately their beauty didn't last long. In fact they only
bloomed for merely a day, by the next morning all the petals had curled
up and they eventually fell flat on the leaves in the afternoon.
Like good times in life, you have to seize the moment and enjoy it
while it lasts. My moment with the flowers was fully appreciated.
