Hyde Park (2010-11-14)
Oct 4, Monday. The Tube strike which started the night before was in full swing . Many lines were completely closed while a few had partial service. Without the Tube, it's very inconvenient to move around.
Learning about the strike on Saturday, we decided to go on a day
trip to avoid using public transport. Since KL had talked about
visiting Stonehenge in Japan, that just worked out perfectly.
The bus pick-up was scheduled for 1230 pm, so we decided to take the
15-minute stroll from our hotel in the morning to
check out Hyde Park.
The park was really large and we only had time to just touch the
southwest area where Kensington Palace and a pond is. As for the
famous Speakers' Corner and Serpentine Lake, they'll be the destination
for next trip.
