HK-Last Day (2011-05-11)
April 17.Our flight was 2:30pm which means there wasn't time to do much
else. We had breakfast at Yuen Kee (noodle shop) just down the
street and took our time packing and relaxing in the room. We're
too old to shoot for last-minute mad shopping before checking out of
Luxe Manor.
KL didn't want to lug the heavy suitcases on and off the shuttle bus
to Kowloon Station, so we took a taxi. The hotel staff was very
eager to put our bags into the trunk and the cab driver removed them
once we reached the station (a bit of tipping and cab fare saved KL's
back). He says "you need to throw money at the problem when it's
called for."
After we finished the checking-in, Hang Heung's Hainan
Chicken picture called out our names! Of course the real
thing looked nothing like the picture but it did taste pretty good:
solid
chicken flavor and the right amount of chewiness. Our last meal
in
Hong Kong was beautiful.
