Golf Centers (2004-10-20)
Golf is big among older Japanese men. There are indoor golf centers around Tokyo where enthusiasts can practice driving the golf balls. These centers can be several stories high and enclosed in a giant net. Each story is sectioned into cubicle-like "rooms" and golfers can tee off into the open side facing them.
I saw a man practicing his tee off technique right in the middle of the road the other day. That is one fervid golfer.
