Day Two Food (2005-11-23)

The steak restaurant that served us the giant piece of meat is Frankie & Johnnie's at 269 W 45 st.  Not only was the serving ginormous, its steak was really tasty.

KL and I both ordered their famous rib eye, mine medium well, his medium.  The steak was cooked to absolute perfection, mine pink and his light pink encased in a crusty smoky outside.  Their beef is aged to develop a deep beefy flavor and we could taste that in every bite.  The meat was sweet and fragrant, the best I had eaten.

If you happen to go to NY and like beef, you should try that restaurant.  But unless you have a very big appetite, let them charge you extra and share an entree, otherwise you will have no room left for the next meal.
