Kittens Made Their Debut (2005-09-29)
Mama Cat's litter suddenly burst onto the scene! I spotted them in the tiny courtyard behind our apartment a week ago. They were with their mother and having a fun time playing, chasing each other and catching anything that moved.
The kittens seemed to follow the mother around but I've never seen
them anywhere near our apartment where Mama Cat comes to have her meals
twice a day. KL is kind of relieved because he doesn't like the
idea of a bunch of stray kittens making themselves at home in our
downstairs balcony where Mama Cat sometimes takes a nap or waits for
her food. If they decide to stick around or worse, make the
balcony their home, kind-hearted KL will have no choice but to take
care of them. He is that kind of a nice fellow.
I hope somebody will adopt the kittens soon before winter rolls around. I hate to see them die of cat flu which is a big health threat to small cats in the cold season.
